Linux System Administrator

Main purpose of job:

To provide system administration services to our business with an emphasis on Linux systems and networking

Main Tasks:

  • Installation and configuration of new systems (Linux servers, NAS, networking) for both customer facing and internal use
  • Investigation of performance issues, proposal and implementation of solutions as needed
  • Management of network topology and future expansion (we have an extensive private communications network across Europe)
  • Management of system backups and other regular automated tasks
  • Understanding of likely points of failure and responding to problems efficiently
  • Understanding of security issues

Essential skills:

  • Excellent UNIX/Linux fundamentals (shell, coreutils, kernel)
  • Fluency in English & French
  • Network configuration and troubleshooting using open source tools
  • Fluency with either RHEL or Debian GNU/Linux (or derivatives such as CentOS and Ubuntu)
  • Able to deploy and troubleshoot Apache, SAMBA, MTAs, ftp servers, Linux firewalls, NFS clients and servers
  • Ability to write non-trivial management scripts
  • Ability to mutli-task, plan and prioritize work and function effectively under pressure
  • Clear written and verbal communication

Desirable skills:

  • Scripting experience with an open source language such as Perl or Python (ideally Perl)
  • Able to deploy and troubleshoot MySQL and LVS/Haproxy
  • Exim4, MailScanner, Bind, NIS
  • OpenVPN, Linux IPSEC, non-open source VPN solutions
  • Nagios server and RRD configuration
  • Xen Server
  • Deployment and use of SVN or Git
  • Experience of Administering a Google Apps domain using the AP
  • Isilon NAS
  • Amazon AWS administration and monitoring
  • Understanding of PCI DSS

Web Developer

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of working with XHTML, CSS and JavaScript amongst other technologies.

Main purpose of job:

The successful candidate will be working closely with the frameworks developers. You will have specific responsibility for building and optimising the controller and view components in particular of a major international e-commerce website. The site is built in on a perl/mason framework with extensive use of the Jquery JavaScript library. The successful candidate will have had experience working in web development, with a track record of delivering on-time and to specification.

Relationships:

  • Reporting to the Web Development Manager in London

Key required skills:

  • XHTML – at least five years' experience with a good working knowledge of cross-browser/cross-OS compatibility issues and an awareness of standards compliance
  • CSS – experience as above
  • JavaScript – at least three years' experience

Useful additional skills:

  • JQuery
  • Object-oriented perl - or working knowledge of another object-oriented language
  • Mason – or working knowledge of some other web framework
  • php (especially Zend framework)
  • Objective C and iPhone or other mobile platforms

  • Use SVN to manage source code releases

  • Investigate and fix software faults and bugs as assigned
  • Comment and document own work so that it can be modified and maintained by other staff
  • Following team standards for code control, testing and release management
  • Report any problems with assigned tasks in good time where possible
  • Assist in providing development timescales and estimates
  • Assist in providing technical feedback on business requirements
  • Communicate effectively with other staff as required to complete work e.g. with other developers, testers, system administrators, project managers

Our Customer Support Supervisors are expected to be able to quickly adopt these brand values and champion them with all staff; ensuring that from dealing with complaints to up-selling to customers a clear brand voice is used and high standards are met by Customer support agents.

Due to rapid growth in our customer support area, we are looking for a Bilingual Customer Support agent to join the team and help to shape the future developments of the support team. The ideal candidate will have the skills listed, and will also be expected to get hands on and be an extra member of the team when call volumes demand.

The team currently consists of 10-20 staff some of whom may be multi-language, outsourced or home based workers. The incoming contacts are highly seasonal which means that the team expands greatly in Quarter 4 (Oct-Dec), therefore the ability to handle change are fundamental. Though this job specification is team specific, there will be a requirement to fully understand and at times support the operation of the other teams.

Main purpose of job:

To provide service to customers and support to the customer service team

Main responsibilities:

Customer Support

  • Efficiently and effectively handle queries from customers
  • Achieve individual targets and contribute fully to achieving departmental response time targets to queries
  • Troubleshoot problems and provide technical assistance in order to answer customer enquiries
  • Liaise with other areas of the company as well as any relevant third parties through appropriate channels
  • Identify and assist to resolve issues arising from customer contact
  • Provide multi language support e.g UK/English as required

Operational

  • Maintain full working knowledge of all functions within department
  • Achieve daily targets
  • If required, provide support to other teams

Process

  • Adhere to all relevant HR processes, involving sickness, holidays and absence

Other Duties

  • Assist in providing initial training to new customer support agents as and when required
  • Actively participate in weekly team meetings and business update briefs
  • Help Customer Support Supervisor and Team Leader to evaluate root causes of issues and strive to alleviate such issues from occurring
  • Actively exhibit and develop professionalism at all times and respect confidentiality where required by the business and others

Experience:

Essential

  • Flexible to the changing demands of a ecommerce environment
  • Fast learner, with the ability to get up to speed with product & systems processes quickly
  • Reliable with excellent time management

Desirable

  • 6 months or more experience of working in an inbound customer service environment
  • Experience of working in a fast moving contact centre.
  • Experience of dealing with online queries via email, phone or live chat
  • Photographic skills or knowledge of photography

Internship - Marketing assistant for Australia (H/F)

Mission:

Integrated within the International Marketing team, you're in charge of developing PhotoBox on the Australian market.
You will be working with the following tasks:
- Site management: definition of product mix, pricing, editorial content and graphics
- Monitoring the activities and analysing the results
- Implementing and monitoring the acquisition campaigns: Search Engine Marketing and Search Engine Optimisation (SEM / SEO), affiliation, refer a friend, email campaigns and other partnerships
- Collaboration with the logistics department, in particular on customs issues
- Improving the customer experience

Personal skills:

You have a university degree with a knowledge and passion for internet, ideally you already have a first experience in marketing/sales.
You are dynamic, analytic and like team work.
